Morgan Stevenson Cooper is a Los Angeles–based filmmaker and multi-disciplinary artist, known for his distinct voice and innovative storytelling approach.

Cooper is the creative force behind the hit Peacock drama series BEL-AIR, a dramatic reimagining of the beloved ’90s sitcom The Fresh Prince of Bel-Air. The series originated from Cooper’s visionary short film, released in March 2019, which quickly went viral and captured the attention of millions worldwide, including Will Smith and Westbrook Studios. Cooper went on to serve as creator, director, co-writer, and executive producer of the series, which premiered in February 2022 and became Peacock’s most-watched original streaming series. Following four seasons, a BEL-AIR spinoff is currently in development, with Cooper serving as executive producer.

Cooper is also a two-time Tribeca X Award winner for his feature U Shoot Videos? and short film Pay Day, both of which earned top honors in their respective categories at the 2020 Tribeca Film Festival.

Through his company BLASÉ, Cooper continues to expand his creative output across film and television, focusing on projects that redefine cultural narratives. He is also the author of the recently released children’s book, I Can Make a Movie! (Penguin Random House), inspiring the next generation of storytellers to find and own unique voice.
